Update of the ETVNet plugin for Mediaportal 1.0.2

sergem1 has created a wonderful plugin for Russian TV On Demand from ETVNet for Mediaportal. Unfortunately it didn't work for me on Vista with Mediaportal 1.0.2 . So I have made a few minor code modifications to make it work (and also added some improvements). The following things were added/fixed:

* Use g_player.Play even in VMR9 mode, as PlayVideoStream did not seem to work. Unfortunately this means no OSD, but hopefully this will be fixed in a future Mediaportal release.

* Fixed the Cyrillic On-Screen Keyboard to work properly with spaces etc.

* Convert HTML Entities in the show description to make it human readable.

* Fixed ETVNet XML parsing. They seem to have changed a few bits.

* Converted everything in the code to Unicode.

* Use Blue3 and Blue3wide instead of BlueTwo.

Updated plugin is attached.

Please note, you are using a non-cyrillic language in mediaportal you won't see any output from the on-screen keyboard until you edit strings_.xml file in the language directory of Mediaportal and modify the line

[geshifilter-code] <Language name="English" characters="255"> [/geshifilter-code]

to read

[geshifilter-code] <Language name="English" characters="1250"> [/geshifilter-code]

OSD question

Thank you very much for the update! It works great ! I hve a question about OSD. I think OSD is now supported in the MediaPortal 1.0.2.
Is it possibl to enable OSD for this plugin as well ?

Thank you,
Mark.

Hi, I think I had tried it

Hi, I think I had tried it with 1.0.2 and it didn't work. Unfortunately I have gotten rid of Windows in my home entirely and so have no way of testing it...

plugin for etvnet

Hi,

I tryied your plugin for MP/ETVNET - works pretty good, thanks. I'd like to mention to your a minor problem with it:

if my PC goes into sleep with MediaPortal open, then when it (PC) wakes up, font on all MP menu's is huge!!! You can only see 1-2 first chars on any menu items. If you close MP, then open it again - everything is ok again.
Before I installed your plugin and changed strings_.xml according to your instruction it was not happening.
It would be great if you can fix it.

Thanks in advance,
Igor

No time for support

Hi!

Unfortunately I have since stopped using Windows for my mediacenter (Mediaportal was not the problem, Windows was!). I have unfortunately no time to support this plugin anymore :(

Sorry.

Excellent Work! Really Appreciate!

This plugin works on my HTPC.
Please, continue!
Thanks!

Vitaly
